Then on seeing this, Zakaria prayed to his Lord; he said: “My Lord! You grant me a pure offspring as Your bounty, indeed You are the One Who responds to the prayer”.
Prophet Zakaria had no offspring to propagate Lord’s Message after him, so upon seeing the supernatural incidents with Maryam, he prayed to Lord for getting a noble child. Today, as Adhikr is codified, forgetting the response for any prayer and accepting any deed, two conditions are explained in verse 2: 186. The believer will utilize the Best Book Adhikr to fulfill all his desires in this world as well as in the Hereafter as explained in verses 2: 147-148. It is told in verses 19: 2-7 as: “A Remembrance of the Mercy of your Lord upon His servant Zakariya. When he called his Lord in secret: ‘My Lord, indeed my bones are weakened, and my head has turned gray. and my Lord! I have never been disappointed in my appeal to You. And indeed, I fear about the successors after me, and my wife has been barren. So, you give me an heir from Yourself who will inherit me and inherit from the family of Ya’qoob, and you make him pleasing to You my Lord’”. It is told in verse 14: 39 about Messenger Ibrahim’s prayer as: “Praise is to Lord, Who has granted to me in my old age Ismael and Ishaaq; indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of prayer”.
